It reads brand names when visible and infers contents from packaging shape and color. A well-lit, front-facing photo gives the best results. Cluttered or poorly lit fridges may miss a few items, which is why you can photograph multiple angles or add your counter and pantry.
Every dinner card has two upgrade paths — a meat option and a veggie option. Each one tells you exactly what to buy (item name and quantity), and exactly how to add it to the existing recipe with no guesswork. For example: "Buy 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs — season with cumin and salt, sear 6 minutes per side, slice and lay over the dish before serving." You can take that directly to the store.
Yes. You set your preferences once — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, paleo, nut-free, halal, or any combination — and every plan respects them automatically. You can also specify individual ingredients to avoid (shellfish, cilantro, etc.). Preferences are saved and applied to every future scan without re-entering.
Your photo is sent to the AI for analysis and then discarded immediately — it is not stored on our servers, not used to train any model, and not associated with your account. We store the detected ingredient list and generated plan, not the image itself. Full privacy policy available at launch.
